A Summer Camp Birthday {Real Parties}

Geezyweezy…hard to believe it has been a year since this party and we have never shared it on our our blog???!!!  So better late than never, right??  This theme for Brandt’s 4th birthday was PERFECT!  His actual birthday falls around the time that the kids are getting out of school for summer break and what better way to kick off summer vacation but to have a summer camp theme party, right?  There are so many fun idea you can execute with a theme like this….s’mores station, cardboard canoe races, fishing pond, arts and crafts, the list goes on and the kiddos will not be bored.  So, let’s kick off summer by sharing this fun party!!!

My favorite party detail had to be the cake!  I had a 2 layer simple cake made, added some twix candy bars for firewood, rock candy crystals for embers and enlisted cookie genius Casey’s Confections to create the flame cookie.  We then designed a faux wood “Camp Brandt” sign printable to top it off!!

Various areas were marked with camp directories and signage.

Look at the details in the fondant cupcake toppers from Edible Details & cookies from Casey’s Confections…AH-MAZING!!

Camping Party Treats

Mini fishing poles were made for the kids using mini bamboo poles attached to vending capsules  all set up with bait & tackle.

Summer Camp Party

Instead of handing out pre-filled favor bags…campers were given logo printed mini canvas totes to fill up at the Camp Store.  Items such as sun screen, travel toothbrush kits, glow sticks, and sunglasses were available.

For the candy display, lanterns were filled with treats (gummy frogs, orange slices and m&m river rocks) to also take home.

All of the campers had a blast making their own s’mores

Smores Party

Another idea for craft and take home project gives campers the opportunity to make their own tie-dye t-shirt.

tie dye t-shirt Station

By using a cup, rubberbands, sharpie markers a dropper and rubbing alcohol; tie-dye tees are easy and relatively mess free.

Everyone LOVED this theme, there are so many versions you can do to make this party a huge success.  Do you love this party?  Find the printable collection HERE.  Have some great camp birthday party ideas?  Leave a comment, we’d love to hear all about it!!  Happy Summer!!

Real Party Feature…A Sassy 60th Birthday!

This party was so much fun to design…the guest of honor is an amazing person, she makes a friend everywhere she goes.  Her personality is vibrant, fun and sassy so it was a perfect theme for her very special birthday…Sixty & Sassy!!  Being able to design an adult party is always a treat, so when our sweet friend Jami from the Savvy Socialista asked us to be involved planning a special evening for her mom, we were thrilled!!  The color palette was made up of lipstick red, fab fushia and amazing aqua with a hint of gold.

We made a backdrop from tissue garland with a printable party sign.  Simple sweets lined the table, a fabulous cake, cupcakes & cookies!

LOOK AT THIS CAKE!!!  Are you in LOVE!!!!?????

Here is some more eye candy (;

The amazing cookies are from Inspired Sugar…these girls have some crazy talent!!

Guests were given darling berry baskets filled with a mix of caramel & cheddar popcorn and embellished with mini clothes pins and favor tags.

It was such a FUN party… here is a pic of the birthday girl and her amazing family…too cute, right???!!!

Tailgating Party {Part 2}

So appearantly today is National Fight Procrastination Day??!!   So we thought it was appropriate to share pics from our visit to Sonoran Living {errr…a year ago}!  Better late than never, right?!  PLUS..it is the kick-off of football season AND we are going to re-post the FREE printables!!! (:

When we started planning the menu we came up with stadium food along with a few other creative ways to feed your guests.  Like this “BYOP”  Build Your Own Pizza!!!  Hand out pizza boxes with pizza crusts, a side of sauce, cheese and set up a topping bar.  Once your guests top their pie, throw it on the grill!  YUM!!!!

How about some quick serve nachos?  These snacks are ready to go with chips and take out cups of cheese & jalapenos.

We also put together snack sacks…with popcorn, pretzels, m&m’s and almonds.

Plastic cups were filled with peanuts dispayed in chipboard drink carriers…clever!

We splurged on gourmet cupcakes by Modern Cupcake topped with some DIY cupcake toppers and dressed up them up with football field printable cupcake wrappers.

We also made cocoa rice krispie treats.  Just make a pan of treats and use a football shaped cookie cutter to cut out and decorate.

This last one is our favorite!  We dressed up these lollipops with football jerseys and made lollipop trees using megaphones.

Our penant banner on the front of the table doubled as a concession display for bags of fresh popped popcorn!

Here we are with the stunning Stephanie Sandoval, the host of Sonoran Living.  Thanks for having us Steph!! This entire digital printable collection is available in our Esty Shop!

Here are the free printables we promised, thanks for stopping by!!
